Wind and Weather

We need 6 to 10 knots of wind to fly kites on Day 1 and 12 or more knots of wind for you to enjoy Day 2 or 3. We will teach in any safe conditions as long as it windy. Xtremes-Learn2ride cannot teach in zero wind conditions and will not try.

Poole Harbour is open to winds from the Northwest, West, Southwest and South. We can teach in any of these directions because we will have smooth and gust free winds.

We can’t teach when the wind is blowing from the North or East. The wind coming from the North and East will be offshore making it dangerous to teach. The wind will also be gusty and unpredictable.
